Terms of Use

These Terms ("Agreement") govern your licence from Cue 1 Theatrical to use our downloadable theatrical show‑files ("Content").

1. Licence Grant

Upon full payment, we grant you a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free licence to download and use the Content solely in connection with a single theatrical production produced by your organisation, involving actors, ticket sales and a live audience. You may re-download the Content indefinitely and use it for an unlimited number of performances of that production.

This licence is personal to the organisation that purchases the Content and is non-transferable. The organisation purchasing the licence must be the organisation producing the relevant theatrical production.

The licence does not permit you to use the Content on behalf of, or provide the Content to, any other organisation, school, company, theatre, client or third party for their productions or performances. In particular, an audiovisual, production, technical, staging or event-services company may not purchase a single licence and use the Content across productions for multiple schools, organisations, clients or other third parties. Each organisation producing a separate production must obtain its own licence.

You may engage contractors or service providers to assist with the technical delivery of your production, provided that such use is solely on your behalf and does not grant those contractors or service providers any independent right to use, reproduce, distribute or provide the Content to third parties.

2. Permitted Use Only

Content use is strictly limited to theatrical performance purposes only. Public or commercial use (e.g. broadcast, streaming, advertising) is prohibited without a separate licence. The files may not be shared to your cast/crew or anyone outside of relevant technical staff, sub‑licensed, redistributed, sold, rented or otherwise disseminated in any form. Qlab’s internal video modification tools such as translate, scale, colour filters etc are permitted modification of the content as well as any user generated overlays, additions, subtractions and reordering. Content may be transferred to a different operation software as long as the content is used for the production stipulated in the content package. Content may not be used for any other production or purpose outside of the conditions described.

3. Ownership and Reserve Rights

All copyright and intellectual property rights in the Content remain with the Licensor. This Agreement does not transfer ownership.

4. Payment and Access

Licences are one‑time and non‑refundable. After payment clears, download links remain active indefinitely. You are responsible for backing up files.

5. Warranty Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Content is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. The Licensor disclaims any liability for compatibility issues or financial loss arising from use of the Content. In no event shall liability exceed the licence fee paid.

6. Termination

This Agreement automatically terminates upon any breach (including unauthorised sharing or use). On termination you must immediately cease use and delete all copies of the Content.

7. Compliance with Performance Rights

You are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary performance rights—for third‑party music, dramatic works, or visual materials used in your show.

8. General

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction specified by the Licensor. If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and the Licensor in relation to the licence and supersedes any prior agreements or understandings relating to its subject matter. No amendment or modification to this Agreement shall be effective unless made in writing and agreed to by both parties. By purchasing or accessing the Content, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.
